IWF Northern California Legacy Foundation
The Legacy Foundation began in
1990 as the foundation arm of IWF Northern California following a highly
successful convening of a national forum in 1989 in
As the Foundation's first president, Diane shepherded the organization through its early days as a 501(c) (3) charitable and educational organization affiliated with the Women's Forum West. “We proudly named it Legacy because IWF Northern California needed – and wanted – to do something that carried over to the generations which come after us. We wanted to put down our mark,” says Diane.
Today, the word “legacy” remains
the key to the philosophy which guides the Foundation's board in
fulfilling Legacy's mission and accomplishing the organization's
goals and projects.
