NOMINATION PROCESS FOR WFW MEMBERSHIP

If you are considering nominating a woman for membership, please contact the Membership Committee first to discuss the potential nominee's qualifications for membership prior to completing the nomination form.

Each new member nomination must be completed by two WFW members. Each nominator will be able to complete the full nomination form and also upload a supporting bio or resume for the nominee.

Nominator #1:

1. Please complete the membership nomination form in detail. Note: You must be logged in to the website to complete a nomination form.

2. At the bottom of the nomination form, use the Upload feature to add any supporting information (like a resume or bio) that you would like to provide about the nominee. This works just like adding an attachment to an email. Click the Browse button, locate the file on your hard drive, then choose Open.

3. Once you have completed every section of the nomination form, choose the Submit button. This will lead you to the Thank You Page.

4. Follow the instructions on the Thank You Page to notify the WFW member who has agreed to support your new member nomination. This Thank You Page will give you instructions on how to create an email that links to your new member nomination. You will then send this email to the second nominator so that they can add their nomination details.

Nominator #2:

1. When you receive an email from a WFW member regarding their new member nomination, the email will contain a link. Click on the link to launch the nomination form. At the top, you will see the name and contact information for the new potential member being nominated. NOTE: You must be logged into the website to see this information.

2. Please complete the nomination form with as much supporting information as you can provide.

3. At the bottom of the nomination form, use the Upload feature to add any additional supporting information that you would like to provide about the nominee, including a bio or a resume. This works just like adding an attachment to an email. Click the Browse button, locate the file on your hard drive, then choose Open.

4. Once you have completed every section of the nomination form, choose the Submit button. This will lead you to the Thank You Page.

Your nomination is now complete and will be reviewed by the Membership Committee. If you have any questions about your nomination, please don't hesitate to contact the WFW office.

NOTE: Nominations are confidential. By sponsoring someone, you are vouching for the nominee's qualifications as someone who is highly regarded, at the top in her field, active in civic or other outside interests, and willing to participate in this group. You are also agreeing to bring the candidate to at least one WFW event within the first three months of her membership, if she is accepted.
