About Us

IWF Northern California (formerly Women's Forum West) was founded in the mid-1970's by a small group of prominent Bay Area women. These women felt that an organization of women, each of whom had a national or international reputation in her field, would provide an excellent network to broaden personal contacts and to understand issues outside each woman's daily sphere of influence. IWF Northern California, as an organization, has two very important priorities: (1) creating an environment that fosters personal and professional growth, and (2) providing an infrastructure of personal and professional support. Membership is by invitation only and is based on an individual's leadership in her field.
