Seat at the Table
Understanding Board Service and the Path to the Boardroom

Wednesday, April 15
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Pacific)

What does it really mean to serve on a board of directors — and how do accomplished leaders position themselves for a seat at the table? In this candid and practical session, IWF NorCal member Kim Box draws on her experience serving on public, private, and regulated boards to demystify the role of today’s board director. We will explore governance fundamentals, fiduciary responsibilities, the board’s role in strategy and CEO oversight, and how serving as a director differs fundamentally from executive leadership. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of what boards seek, how to craft a compelling board value proposition, and concrete steps to navigate the path to their first or next board role.

Date: Wednesday, April 15

Time: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (Pacific)

Location: Webinar via Zoom

Cost: Free, but registration is required to participate (Zoom link and details will be included in the registration confirmation e-mail.)
